H M A C / hot mix asphalt concrete

· HMAC is manufactured and used  for pavement surfaces. Once the product is delivered to the work site it has to be applied within 3 hours to 4 hours. It is the stuff that most of the highways and parking lots that we drive on are covered with.

 

· The process of  installing (or applying) is labor intensive and also requires a lot of machinery. The machine that installs the  asphalt is known in the trade as a “lay-down machine” or more commonly as a “paving machine”. Once the product is applied it has to set in place by rolling and compaction.

 

· Cummings Paving has all the proper equipment to lay the asphalt in place and then roll and compact it to achieve optimum density. All our equipment is TX DOT approved
